Would i be dumb to trade my numbers matching 1970 z28 for this car? I know you guys don't know what my car is like but it is a super clean 4 speed car with correct muncie trans, coo 12 bolt rear end and ctb 350. very clean original interior, and rust free body. I know this is a second generation site but circumstances will not let me drive my 4 speed car. Thanks for your input. Doug

Don't do it! If the 4 speed is the problem put an a/t in your car, drive it and save the original parts. Yours will only keep appreciating. The 69 is just another pretty car with no pedigree. Money can't buy what your car has.

im not that current on values, but if you cant drive the stick its no good sitting in the garage. still i think your #match '70 is worth a little more than the 69.

I don't know, your car looks real sweet from the pictures you were able to get. And if it's numbers matching, I think I would try to do a little better than that particular 69. It may be a true SS, but I would want to know something about the drivetrain. IMO, your car is in the $30K+ category, and they're only asking $22K for it.

I'd say it's all in what you want to do both cars look sweet. But I have to agree with terry about that he said if being a stick is all for not driving yours I'd switch it over to an auto for now and just keep your car.At least you know what ya got and not have to start all back over again.

I've owned both, and I think you have the better car. The 69 is mostly image, and unless its fully documented, you can bet stuff has been added to it. Also its popularity is so overblown that it becomes "just another 69", instead of a special 70 Camaro, so I'd have to go with onenasty on this one. I put stock in keeping what you're comfortable with, and I'd convert it to auto and keep the manual set-up in a box. After owning one of each of the 1st gen., I can say in the department of refinement and overall class, they can't hold a candle to the 2nd gen. Keep the 70, you won't be sorry.
