So as of a month ago the 2017 Camaro Nationals were 6/23-24 in Frederick MD and the 2017 GM Nats were 6/16-18 in Carlisle PA. Just like 2016. Great, i already had both on my calendar so I can auto-x at the GM nats and do the CN the following weekend.

Well, as they do, Carlisle screwed the pooch. They announced the date is moved to 6/23-25 because: "This is meant to avoid our overlap with Father's day as well as help alleviate some conflicts with other events in the area". I call BS on all that.

And to top it off now its call the Chevrolet Nationals, although it is still open to all makes and models produced by General Motors. So another WTF is that?

Dammit all to hell I hate friggin Carlisle.

The best thing to ever happen to Carlisle was Wayne's burnout.

And I remember the bikini contest....yuck.

If they don't wish to have camaros at their event again, that's a good way to accomplish it.

Years ago when we were still at the "other place" the show was held on Father's Day weekend. We had to beg them for years to change the date so it didn't conflict with Father's Day. I'm guessing they found that moving it back to that weekend affected their turnout.

They changed the name of the show at the strong suggestion of GM. That show never took off like the other shows there did and it was an embarrassment to GM - besides the fact that GM stopped supporting that show a year or so after the Camaro split.

But notice what show GM was at last year - and it wasn't Carlisle.....;)
