Thinking of buying a blast cabinet

    Yes a great big funnel with a hose fitting at the bottom. The only thing I dont have is some expanded metal for the shelf and the blast media.

    Thanks for your concern. I'll be vewy vewy carefull.:p

    I think its going to work well, Its sturdy as hell.
    I dont like the CDX plywood I have on the front where the gloves will go through. I'll replace it with a piece of hardwood. I had o nice piece of red oak handy and put it on front and all of a suddon the plywood looked likr crap.

    Same with the top, I dont want to use ugly plywood for that part either.

    I'm workin on my media blast box.. comming along too, I'm installing some light in it...

    There will be a switch in one of the elec boxes on top to not only operate the lights but also an outlet in the other box I will plug the shop vac into.

    Looks nice.

    Get a floursecent spot light bulb. The sand will kill that bulb off, unless you hit it first. These last much longer in the box.

    how big of an air compressor are you guys using and the blaster itself.

    I have a CH 60 gal upright on the side of the house. 5 HP i think, it works well enough. I'm stealing parts from my craftsman blaster for the trigger and fittings.

    I'll be finishing up the pumbing here in a bit and clan up the garage tomorrow.

    How are you going to do the hand holes Mark?

    Will there be an expanded metal floor to the inside or somthing?

    Yeah, expanded metal work surface.

    I have the gloves on order from HF ... they are in trasit now. When I get em I will make a faceplate to hold em.
