No gimmick here. This stuff has been in development for around 10 years. It is a ceramic coating and can only be removed via machine compounding. It is something like 80X harder than oem clear coat making it scratch and chip resistant.

I'm a little apprehensive to try it. How hard was it to apply?

You never have to wax again. It is very easy to apply. You just have to make sure the paint is exactly how you want it before you apply it. Buff out any swirls or imperfections first. Then do an ipa wipe down and you are ready to apply.

That stuff sounds like a great alternative for restoring aluminum trim like the windshield pieces that have to be coated after stripping/polishing.

Sounds very cool... I'm concerned about applying it wrong and having to try to remove it though.

POR 15 has something like that for interior as well as exterior parts. Pelucid is a 'hard as a rock' water clear coat and Glisten PC is used for adding a clear coat protectant to aluminum wheels.

What's that? A special tack cloth, or solvent?

To me an IPA, is India Pale Ale, which is probably over kill for a several hour, perfectionist type job.
