Has anyone ever done a search of land owners in the mid-west? Hundreds of large parcels and thousands of acres have Asian names.

a Sad Day, but the Australian Economy is F-ed Up. Amazing they used to have Manufacturing for Holden, Ford & Toyota and now there is nothing. Puts Aussie parts suppliers out of business too!

If you read about what's actually going on and not the hyperbole headlines it's looking like China is heading toward the same economic crash that Japan has wrestled with for decades. We are taught to be fearful of the big bad boogie man and we always are, the boogie man just changes.

GM is just the last to pull out. Chrysler was first, then Ford and now the General. There was unique styling for the Holdens but they were pretty much corporate GM. The Holden Commodore was sold with left hand drive as the GTO a few years back. A lot of the things that were outdate in the U.S. got moved to Oz for sale down there. 1950's cars were sold into the late 60's. The 1960-62 Valiants were built and sold through 1969 or so down under. It's all about cutting costs and increasing profits.

China corporations are notorius for merging with industry giants, stealing (I mean "learning") as much as they can before cutting all business ties. GM is just the latest in a long line of corporate thefts.
