This worked for me: 1981 Formula Firebird (Bandit Tribute)

    Purchased a constant pressure stage 2 TH700R4 rebuilt $1899
    Purchased aluminum drive shaft https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fms-m-4602-j
    Purchased 2 https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sdh-5-212x u-joints
    Reused yoke and crossmember
Had to drill new holes in subframe for crossmember.

Yes, that's a ford drive shaft. The length is perfect 45.5 inches. Weight 18lbs. The new u-joints fit the ends of the drive shaft, the other fit the yoke and rear end.

You can also have your old drive shaft shortened

    Nice!
    What kind of shifter?
I guess the stock 350 shifter won't work with extra gear in the 700r4?
