I just read a thread that said Summit/Jegs mechanical fuel pumps are made by Holley. It was an old thread. Can anyone confirm if this is still or ever was true? I mean, why buy a Holley if the lower priced ones are the same darn thing?

Made in China I would guess, which is a trend with Holley stuff these days.

Korea, I think. But, that doesn't necessarily mean Holley is junk. As long as they have thier own people in the factory, they could probably turn out some good parts. I don't know.

Oh definitely, my point is being “made by Holley” is not anything glamourous. I would argue you can’t say made by Holley, they probably share a off shore manufacturer

The Summit one I got maybe two years ago has a Holley part number on it.

I purchased an Eldelbrock Fuel Pressure regulator. On evil bay identical ones with complete hose kits were being sold directly from China. Same color, same bracket, no P/N on it. About 1/4 of the price. I should of bought two of theses and had a spare!

The Summit pump I just bought also has a Holley part number.

My experience from installing a Holley EFI system is that a lot of parts they sell with their brand name (and mark up) are nothing more than stock mark ups. Some of the sensors used in their kits are stock dodge and GM part numbers and parts.

They even sell a $70 usb mini to usb cable that plugs into their ECU's that is nothing more than a Bulgin brand cable that I can get off Mouser.com for $17.07

If your on the fence about something they sell, do some research and I bet you can find it cheaper elsewhere for the same part.

I'm just wanting to get a decent pump because mine is stock and I'm gonna be adding a 100 shot of nitrous. Sounds like maybe I should order a Summit pump. I don't see any reason not to if they're a Holley pump anyway. Someone here said being made by Holley is nothing glamorous and I would agree but, I think it'd be at least decent and better than my stock pump.
