So i'm working on this think almost every night. One thing that's good, when something holds you up like waiting on parts or something.. there's always something else to do!.

I have a 71 Rs with a tilt column from a newer car. The install was never completed inside the car. The original install was 30+ years ago and I have no idea what year the column came from. I need some parts for the horn and lock plate and I'm not sure what to look for..

Can anyone tell me what year(s) this may have come from? I am guessing mid-late 70's but..

So far - I think I need a lock plate, snap clip and the plastic horn part and wire/connector. I also want to change the directional indicator as this one has cruise control and high beam functions I do not have. Plus is looks like crap.

    thanks!

Try Jim Shea's steering column website. He was a GM engineer who knows almost everything about the columns. it says corvette but he references all Chevy columns.
