    I have a 70 SS L78 , my question
Did all of these L78's COME with a split bumper or did some have the full

The split bumper was the Rally Sport option. It could be on any Camaro. So, only SS396 that was ordered with RS got the split bumper. Roughly 1 out of 5 Camaros had RS, so likely about 1 out of 5 SS396 would have the split bumper.

Your car is a full bumper car. As Gary stated above only the RS package had a split bumper along with the round marker lights.

The OP must be referring to another 70 car he has , not the one in the picture above .

A lot of idiots replace the full bumper with a pair of 'short' bumpers and try to sell as a real split bumper car. They don't replace the header panel, etc. I have no problem with anyone doing that, but don't try to bullshit.

Agreed. There is more to an 70-73 RS Camaro than the front bumpers

I've never cared for that "fake" rally sport look but to each his own.
