How can I prevent the front and rear speakers making a single pop when
    - - volume turned down to "00"
    - - cd ejected
    - - receiver turned off
The system has a modern Pioneer receiver with RCA out to an RCA converted 1986 Kenwood eq (in and out) which is connected to two 1986 Kenwood amps with an RCA-to-DIN adapter

No pop happened when using a 1986 Kenwood cassette-radio with only DIN connections

    The pop also happened when
    - - receiver turned on
    - - cd or flash inserted
    - - volume turned up from "00"

A work around using a toggle switch on the turn on wire prevents all but the pop when volume is turned down to or up from "00". This condition is not a problem for the volume will never be at this level.

Would prefer to solve the pop problem but it seems to daunting

So the hybrid stereo of of modern receiver to the 1986 Kenwood eq and two amps is ready for install. Just have to remember to use the toggle switch

I'm assuming you mean the year 1986. I don't think the had Soft Start then. You need to get a soft start circuit switch.
