    For a 1980 non-AC z28 what do you have/recommend for speaker kicks?

Yours has the pull vents right? For fresh air? These would work but you would have to lose the vent and pulls.

All of it can be taken out and put back if you decide to sell the car, nothing is permanent.

Has anyone used these kick panels with the Vintage Air setup.

Yep, that's what I have in my personal car. You have to relocate the four hoses going through the kick panel area above the kick panel. Not that big of a deal...you just drill four holes and use the grommets in the kit.

I also had to change the 90 degree #10 fitting at the evap case for a #10 straight fitting so the new routing would work. These are cheap, I got mine on amazon for less than $10. Vintage Air Part # 35813-VUG

I detail it out in the instructions included with the kick panels.

I have a question. Can you get the new panels and speakers out with the vintage air installed? It looks awful tight...

Yes, I put it in with the stuff installed. You have to put the panel in first and then the speaker. The only issue (if any) was getting in one of the screws to secure the speaker, but I cocked the speaker a little so I could access all of the screws. Once I put the grille on you couldn't tell which way it was position.
