My father and I are starting to restore a 72 RS/SS and I just wanted to see if anybody on here might be from my area? Looking for good places to get some work done....for example - chrome, powder coating, and some other misc. work. Thanks for the help.

I'm just outside town. I'm familiar with lots of places to get parts and services. PM me and I can give you some advice.

Everything that was there has probably changed hands or closed shop since I lived up there. My sister lives right across the river a few miles from Owensboro

There are a few places like Mike's Transmission shop that have closed. Some of the other places that deal in old iron are still around. My old yard is closed up but some of my counterparts back then are still around.

A friend of mine used to work at a yard off of St. Joseph Ave. back in high school.

Both yards are still there. The county has tried many times to run them out of business but they still are there.
