awesome to see the kid helping out! there is nothing better than that! With all of the video games and technology crap out there it's good to see some good ol fashion workin on a car. I worked on cars with my dad of course not as cool as a camaro, but it taught me alot, and kept me out of trouble. Good job! Btw can he come over and help me with mine!!! He does a good job!!

Its not ugly, I'm sure even your kid would disagree with you on that. It is in pretty nice shape and there is definate potential. There first 70 I'd ever seen looked just like yours and the whole reason Im into cars is because when I was a little kid my dad had an old beetle that I loved. Its a really cool thing that you and your kid can bond over this.

Coffeyville eh, we have some land down there, 30 acres.

Did you know Walt spencer? he moved down to lawrence in 1970, but grew up just east of burlington, ks.

Good looking project by the way, looks like a good start.

I miss our "baby" boy being out in the garage helping me or (later in life) leading me down the right paths to repair something! He's a 6' tall 26 year old now and in college (got laid off at Christmas time as a mechanic because he was the only single person there). He's carrying three A's and two B's in a four year college (and can't understand how all the other younger people can go out every nigh and party yet stay in school!).

Anyway, take tons of pictures and video's so you two can look back someday at it all.

I enjoyed your pics, they're all good, but I think the one of Joshua painting in the trunk is prolly the best
