Haha, nevermind. I see now that you got them powdercoated, they look great. Well, if anybody else wants that coupon let me know. It's been hanging on my garage wall for years.

    Thanks Doug!
I did paint it last weekend. It was bare pipe that was beginning to look it's age. I used VHT header paint (rattle can).
I had to lower it to weld in the sway bar mounts and the front was already disconnected from the header removal. I couldn't get the car up high enough to get the tail pipes over the axle tubes so I did the best I could with it under the car. I bought a box of 12 plastic drop cloths and wraped the car up with it side to side, all the way around. Everything except the exhaust. While it was down I painted the top of it and I raised it up on wood blocks enough to do the bottom. It was a little challanging to do the tail pipes with the rear, brake flex line, & fuel tank to deal with but it turned out pretty good.
I'll have more pics of it when I get the headers in which I'm doing today

    Headers are back in

These headers have been in and out of the car many times so there really isn't anything say other than they give the engine compartment a totally different look...just what I was looking for!

As mentioned earlier I cut the header flanges so I also had to trim the header gaskets to match. After lots of research I decided to go with Remflex gaskets. http://catalog.remflex.com/CHEVROLET_GM_CHEVY_Header_Exhaust_Manifold_Gasket_p/rf2005.htm Cutting them to fit was a breeze with a razor knife.

The rest of the exhaust now painted black:

Yeah, "My headers are powder coated with black velvet, and the exhaust system is done in black sinister satin." :bowtie:

Darn it! Now I'm gonna have to get back under the Camaro and paint my exhaust system black one of these days! I really like that look!
