Removing dash tips

    As I recall, you just press the lock tab in and pull the cable out. The tab doesn't come off the speedo, or mine didn't. Might pop it off and see if the noise is still there.

    Once you get over the cracking sound of the dash when you pull on it...

    All came out well. The clip is actually very easy. Push the tab, and out comes the cable. Push new cable into tab - that easy.
    I might have been able to do it from under. However, I didn't know what I was doing at that point.

    Only issue was the mounting screws for the dash. The little tabs for the screws all come out. I had to fashion new holding tabs.
    And...the clear lens for the speedo and fuel gauge, never really cleaned up.
