    Hi guys,

I am building a 427 SBC and am aiming for around 550 HP. Do you think the stock rad with a Be Cool Qualifier Dual 11" Fan and shroud will keep this motor cool? Fans Pull approx 2780 CFM

I was going to purchase this fan with a Be Cool Direct Fit OE Rad Part #15010, but thought it would be worth a try using the original before spending $650 US on the Be Cool Rad. Be Cool says that Rad and Fan will cool 700HP.

    Thanks!

Are you running one of these rads? Can you tell me if it was a direct fit replacement and how much power you are making/cooling with it?

It looks good but seems too good to be true for that kind of pricing..

I'm using the ECP radiator, it's on a fairly stout 355 full roller setup on the juice. No problems with keeping cool. I have an aftermarket close out on top and had to slit a couple small pieces of heater hose to use in place of the factory rubber grommets. For the price, I'm well pleased.

I wouldn't use a thin single core radiator. A radiator is nothing more then a liquid to air heat exchanger, you want a bigger radiator. The fans become important if you idle a lot, stop and go etc. Don't cheap here either.

Thanks I didn't notice the single core when looking at them the first time, they word it likely so you overlook it. Heavy Duty 2-Row Core.

    Thanks

I am running this rad in my 435 hp 355. It is in fact a dual row rad as well as a direct fit with a mech fan and factory shroud.

Those look like a nice Rad as well. Lots of options that's for sure!
