I performed a search and mostly because of photobucket errors instead of photo's in those older posts I still have questions.

I want to install a transverse system on my 74 Z28 and like the pypes kit being stainless etc. I will be using iron manifolds so I plan to buy their headpipes too for a straightforward hookup.

    2 questions exist.

1- Tips- EVT58 & EVT59 long and short tips. What would replicate a factory exhaust tip for my 74? Anybody have photos of a pypes transverse kit with either tips on an alum bumper car??

2- Also, it doesn't seem like they come with appropriate hangers. Any input on what I need?

As for other transverse kits, I don't want the flowmaster drone and the Thrush/dynomax 89021 aluminized kit is price attractive but looks like its not mandrel bent, no polished tips and I will need the head pipes anyway.

I bought the sgf11 Pypes and the stainless tail pipes polished out real nice. I also cut a bevel on them

For some reason Pypes doesn't include proper length tails on the transverse system instead requiring another ~$100 spent on tips. So the bevel and polish is not an option.

I used the transverse system on my 1970 big block L78. It fit well and used the original exhaust manifolds with there down pipes. I used the firebird stainless tips because it was purchased to use on that car. They fit and looked fine on my camaro. They are now on the firebird and fit well there too. 20161118_162554.jpg 20180117_201718.jpg

I installed the SGF11 Pypes system on my 80 with long headers and a shortblock. I used the 90 degree side extension- still not sure if I like. My only issue is the e-brake cable (new) kinda dangles on topof the system so I am thinking it my not last as long.

I think the short tips were for the metal bumper cars and the long was for the covered bumper cars.

Ebrake cable should be under the pipes, between the ground and the pipes, rubbing on the exhaust.....

Pypes said EVT-58 Long for my car. I found an open box pair for cheaper on ebay and but the bullet on the SGF-70. I guess I spent enough money for Summit to send me a free hat......

I'll get to installing it in a couple of weeks.
