Purpose of an L-88 hood.

    Was this taken before you fit it? I was thinking of buying one of these local but the gap you have going in the front is heinous. I imagine that's like 5 seconds after you put the hood on before any alignment?

    this hood i've got is a 18lbs race weight "racing" oriented fiberglass hood and is meant for fiberglass front ends on race cars not street cars were the radiator isn't an issue like on street cars


    look at this pic of the underneath of my hood ...........see the carboard tube inner structure i need to modify the carboard tube so it is 1" inch narrower so it'll fit over the radiator support . just don't have the energy to modify this section because of my health .all it will take is using a high speed cut off tool and remove 1" of carboard tube then make this area flat and all will be good

    I see. I get it now.

    The one I'm looking at locally is a bolt on. I mean, even the stock hood needs lots of work to get right if the fenders were off the car. I just was like holy gap batman.
