    A little progress on the weekend

    I did manage to get into the garage Sunday and the rotisserie was immediately useful as it allowed me to move the body away from the wall so I could removed the driver's door!

    I also discovered something I'm not sure how I missed before! I took a look at the trim tag to check something and realized it didn't match the VIN!

    If I'm reading the trim tag right, it says my car had a V8 whereas the VIN number says it had a 6 cyl! I'm thinking that trim tag got changed out for some reason. The hidden partial VIN on the firewall matches what is on the full VIN so hopefully there won't be any issues when it comes time to get the vehicle registered.

    That is kind of odd, Not a whole lot of reason to swap tags unless you are trying to fake something.

    I agree, it is odd. However, I'm not planning on restoring it to original but am doing all sorts of modern upgrades so as long as it doesn't cause any problems with doing the registration, I can live with the swapped tag.
