    Oh well. Maybe I'll do that on my next project. I've already stripped everything but the hood and under the trunk lid on this project.

    It's been a pretty productive weekend. I got the tail panel and trunk opening stripped and ready to prime.

    And....

    I picked this up today. It's a 2001 LQ4. It came with harness, accessories, and pcm for $1500. I know I probably could have waited longer and found a cheaper engine, but I'm almost at the point where I need to start mocking everything up so I figured I'd pull the trigger. Ya'll may remember my original plan was to go LSA but I couldn't pass up this deal. The LSA doesn't come with accessories, harness, pcm, or sensors so it makes sense to me. The end goal is going to be a 408 stroker. It's still going to have some sort of forced induction so I'm shopping for the stroker kits now and getting references for a good and trustworthy machine shop here in San Antonio.

    Very cool build, I have a 1981 Z28 and I am watching you motor choice. Keep up the good work.

    Did you ever sell you old motor and trans combination? I am looking for a new motor for my 1981 Z28 IMG_5455.JPG
