My universal "ebay" solenoid took a dump after about 10 years... not too bad I guess...

But I'm trying to see if there's a more factory option out there.

    Any thoughts?

Those "Other" F-bodies (late 2nd gen) had them as an option and they fit the Camaros perfectly.

Theres no reason why you cant also use 78-88 gbody ones....easy to find and most had them anyway as did most 80s/90s Caprice, Paresienne, Buick Limited, etc

    It worked out great!

It's certainly not a bolt-on per se, but it was easy to make to work. Just need to drill a couple of holes in the factory trunk latch to position it correctly. But once attached it works just fine.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I was kinda wondering if a hole or any modifications had to be done. On my 73 Nova, I had to drill a hole in the inner trunk lid skin to allow the lever off of the latch to trip open the catch arm of the trunk latch.

Out of curiosity, did you take any pictures of the install that might help out others later on down the road ?.
