Then I went bass fishing today!!
Nice, love the color.
Not really a purchase but a long drawn out series of purchases, but none the less my second 10/22 build is complete.
This gun is a black friday cabelas special that I picked up black friday 2016. It came out of the box and got wiped down and put in the safe and never fired a shot in factory form. Heres the parts list for this build that I peiced together as I found things on sale here and there. I finally gave up on finding a smoking deal on the barrel a couple weeks ago and ordered it from race rifle on ebay.
Victor stock, I have the picatinny rail and raised cheek peices for it to.
VQ thm threaded carbon fiber barrel in black
JWH scalloped bolt and skeletonized charging handle
brimstone stage 2 trigger job set to its sweet spot just over 2 lbs.
kidd interchangeable mag release
VQ cantilever scope mount
warne medium rings that I will probably change to a set of highs to move the scope back more for better eye relief for me.
Weaver Grandslam 4-16
So what does it do at 50yrds? You'll have to try out several different brands of 22 to find what it likes.
Don't know yet, I haven't had time to shoot it besides run 10 rounds thru it to check function after I got it together. Hoping to get it sited in this weekend maybe. I have some federal automatch, CCI standard velocity, Wolff, RWS, and Eley on hand plus some cheap bulk stuff to try thru it. I am hoping it will shoot the bulk decent like my other built up 10/22 does for hunting and then figure out which of the better stuff it likes for punching paper.
I alway found 22's frustrating to get a tight group, get 4 touching each other then the fifth one 1\4 away. If it's to windy they won't group well. To cold or to hot of a day??? Anyhow it looks nice!
I have a CZ455 American .22, after testing several brands of ammo I found SK standard produced the best groups followed by RWS.
I bid on this 1999 Jeep Cherokee with 123000 miles, in-line 4.0 6 cylinder at my wife’s work and won. I plan on cleaning the lettering off the doors, give it a buff and wax, restore the plastic. I will also paint the wheels black and eventually bigger tires. The interior is in excellent shape. Not sure weather I will keep it for a work vehicle or flip it. This Jeep really runs good. I am impressed. If anyone has advise on removing the lettering I am open to suggestions. The lettering is hand painted. I tried Omni mr186 but it took an hour to get two letters off.
