I have wound up with a few different pitman arms somehow and was curious about the differences in power and manual arms. I have a couple that are straight and are about 7" from center to center. I have a couple that are shorter and have a slight curve in each end. Looking them up online I have seen the curved ones listed both ways. Anyone a pitman arm specialist?

Standard late 70s Camaro PS pitman is straight and 7". Pontiacs often had offset ones that are 6".

I heard Camaro was shorter due to the position of the Po trac fuel pump. There's a company that makes a AM set up using a shorter camaro one to make steering faster.

As far as i know the Camaro one is longer which improves steering ratio.

    Curved left-right or up/down? I've seen the up/down ones on 3rd gen's.

Curved up and down. I know at one point I had a manual box , seems like that one was really short and curved.

    .

I have both at the shop, I can check or measure tomorrow to be exact.
IIRC, the arm & center link are definitely different.
