As a machinist I have 4 sizes of tap wrenches at home and work. The T handle tap wrenches are as handy as the one posted.
I think he is referring to the nut and washer set up .
I quite like this idea, nice job. When tapping holes on flat items I always start the tap in the drill press by spinning the drill press chuck by hand. I do a few turns of the chuck and then use my T handle tool.
I know this is old but for hand drilling and tapping I made a set of blocks one for each size with a tap drill and tap hole in each block. I also made a spring loaded pin out of drill rod that goes into the center on the back of the tap or tap handle on the Bridgeport or drill press for small taps. 10-32 / 24 and up get power tapped on the mill. I also burned out a lot of taps with the EDM. Lol
