Just watched todays Horsepower, they did a 454 build on a peanut port motor and it made 407 hp and like 525 tq with nothing but a cam ,intake and headers.I'm impressed.

I have been doing a ton of research lately over at Chevelle forums and speedtalk about this very setup. Im looking at building something along these lines for my build. Want to talk to UDHarold about a custom cam for it and make lots of lowend to mid range torque with a rumpty rump sound too it. Im not gonna race, so I dont need traction :p Want to keep my 2:73 gears and still be able to roast tires whenever I wanna with the 4 speed.

Maybe not but it was 30 hp over the similar 460 build they did and i never expected those little weiner heads to make over about 350 or so hp.

Said it many times before on this board: Peanut Port big block heads flow about the same as an entry-level set of performance small block heads. Not too difficult to build a 400HP small block these days. Even easier when you're packing almost a hundred more cubes. Torque comes nearly automatic with the cubes. Horsepower requires airflow.

BTW- I've got a set of -236 peanut port big block heads in my basement right now. Anyone want to make me an offer on this fine set of 400+ HP capable set of heads?

Guys, guys, guys, were talking about a television show here. Now I do watch HP TV, but I take their dyno numbers with a grain of salt, just like I do with the dyno #'s from ANY car rag.
