Passing Emissions on your 2nd Gen

    I thought about that but Insurance can void your policy if you do. I was going to use MI.

    FWIW - it depends on how your VIN is listed and Titled/came from the factory.
    My `77, although requires CAT's was titled to not require the Smog pump. :)

    Just wanted to add that i went through registering my 71 a few months ago, and you do NOT need to pass emissions. Here is the photo i took at the Denver emissions facility..

    Colorado recently changed the law and arbitrarily made so that anything 1975 and older doesn't require smog testing. It used to be 25 years or older. FWIW i still haven't had a chance to get mine tested since i broke the tranny and the brakes are scary now too.
