    Can’t say I’ve ever waxed a mower.
I do blow whatever I use off with my stand up air compressor. Including taking out the filters and blowing them out as well.

But here’s some of my “overkill” stuff.
-Rare earth magnets on all my oil filters.
-None of my equipment is out side
-None of my vehicles sit in sunlight unless I’m using it.
-Only person using my “stuff” is me
    & only me.
We grew up and didn’t have crap. So everything I have now I protect it and maintain it the best I can.
(and yes, it drives my family bonkers)
But they didn’t pay for it.

Why not do like a hotrodder friend of mine? He picked up a 8hp snowblower with the engine blown. He got it free. Then, he bought a 13hp engine from Harbor Freight and managed to mount it on the snowblower with different pulleys to gear it up. Now he has a snowblower that blows snow over the top of his house to the other side and he doesn't have to wax the chute to get it done. I'm guessing he is putting significant wear on the gears running it at that speed, but the fun makes it worth it.

I do a detail on my stuff. They last a long time if you take care of the stuff. I'd rather chase women and buy nice wine than more stuff.
I got a lawn tractor with the house, I just went through it, it's nice to use when it's clean. Plus the po jacked some stuff up. Fixed.
