Sorry to hijack, but does anyone repop those plastic clips? Both of mine were completely broken. I managed to find a replacement for one side but not the other.

Try and use fiberglass on the bottom side until you can find a better one. I have not heard anyone repopping them for a 70.
    70 and 71 differ.

Cue-Ball Start a new post and I'll post pics of mine off the car.

I think you are right Mark - that no one repops the '70 style "eyebrow"

Thanks for breaking off the thread, Bozo. You saved me the trouble. :)

It figures that 1970 would be totally different than other years. I'm not going for concourse perfection, so can I assume that the later models will fit just fine and do the job?

Do these pieces have any effect, positive or negative, on rusting of the cowl area?

Nope, not a water collector. Both sides of mine are original with no metal work.
71's will fit. Don't see why they would not.

Mark - I was posting at the same time you were so I missed the pics for my last post. Here's a picture of one of the pieces I got off a later car (I think it was a '77, but I'm not sure). TOTALLY different from the 1970 pieces. My chrome is at the body shop, so I'm not even sure if it has the screw hole or if it was replaced somewhere along the way.
