Mystery Green Button under Dash

    That is the button alright. I guess the wire is long enough to mount where you want it. That is a nifty item. I wish I had pulled the Vacuum one out of my Cutlass before I sold it. It might fit the F-Body since this one looks like it fits several cars.

    People do all kinds of weird stuff to cars, I owned a 74 TA and I was digging through the center console and found a toggle switch buried in the corner out of site. I flipped it and didnt think anything because nothing happened, got pulled over a few days later by a cop for no brake lights. A previous owner must have been doing some shady things and felt the need to have a switch that killed the brake lights :eek:

    This guy I knew had a brake light switch to Mess with tailgaters. They get to close switch it off and stand on the brakes. He would laugh when they nose dive and back way off. I told him that's a good way to get shot and to quit while I was in the car.

    I think an electric trunk release was available on those "other" F-bodies.
    (T/A's and possibly Firebirds too.)

    It was mounted in the glove box. Yellow button, IIRC.
