That's gotta be good. Let us know how it comes out. Gotta be easier than cabbage rolls.(golumpki) That's time consuming. Luckily, I had some similar experience in my youth rolling fatties!

Well I made Miss Daisey's casserole tonight and I must say it was VERY good. Added 1/2 cup Beef O'Bradys garlic and parmasion wing sauce for flavor. Should have added more. A little on the heavy side but very satisfying with some good french bread.

Bandit I wish you had warned me about this casserole being addictive. I can't get enough. I have eaten it for lunch and dinner since I made it.

This is why it never goes as planned when we make cabbage rolls. The two have to taste a lot alike. We make a bunch of them, planning to freeze half of them. They never make it to the freezer! I gotta show this to my wife.

I finally got a chance to make Miss Daisy's Cabbage Dish. I only made 2 mistakes. First I put the cabbage and potatoes in then the soup mix. I turned around and saw that I forgot to mix the ground beef in, Doh. I just dumped the pan which I lined with parchment in a bowl and mixed the beef in. Back in the pan and baked for an hour and 20 mins because I wanted the middle to bubble. The second mistake was the pan 9x12 was just not enough. That stuff went quick. I need to double that size next time. I was surprised at how good that was. I also used a bunch of fresh garlic in there too. This does not taste like the Golumpki though. It would have to have a tomato base for that. I might try it that way too. This was so easy.
