Personally I am much more of a Ford guy. But I just LOVE the look of 2nd gen Camaro's.

My first car was a 70 Torino wagon.
Followed by a 75 Granada 4-door, later I stuffed a 460 in it. Bent the transmission so it wouldn't start anymore. Too much nitrous I guess.
    Also had a 76 Grananda 2-door, 77 Pinto, 78 Fairmont and a 73 Mustang fastback for a while each.

Then I got a front-end damaged 75 Camaro by trading a 83 Mitsubishi for it. Fixed the front end.

I bought the '73 shell from a friend when he abandoned the project. Moved EVERYTHING over from the 75 to the 73 shell. This was in 1992. Been driving it ever since.

2/11/05 white 81 Z28 Stock. [IMG] Got it from one of my best friends who could not afford it any longer. [IMG]

He owned it since 86 and did a rather decent job of keeping it running. He was the first one of us to own a car so this was our first taste of freedom. Lots of fond memories.

I remember how each of us was banned from driving it one by one. Vic and I were banned on the same night. We keap chipping the tires. [IMG] Alex’s high-speed antics on prom night earn him his banishment. I couldn’t let him just sell it to a stranger. As the old Mob bosses use to say, we "kept it in the family”.

My first (when I was 15) was a yellow plain '80 Camaro. Four years ago I bought my daily driver. A '99 Camaro SS convertible. Two years later I found what I was looking for for a long time. An '80 Z-28 4-speed with t-tops. Thats my current project car which is coming along just fine.

Well my '99 SS just got stolen a couple of months ago and I couldn't find another like it. So, I decided to upgrade to a 2001 Corvette convertible.

My first car (which I still have) was a dark blue 1980 Sport Coupe w/ a 305 4bbl. and T-Tops. 15 years ago, when I bought it from the original owner, it had 49,500 miles on it. Today, 15 years later, it has 55,500. It spends its life in the garage covered up and is only taken out for the occasional car show and cruise night. As the original owner once told me a few years back: "it looks better than the day I took it home new from the dealership back in 1980." Quite a compliment ... I will never part it!

I've tried to sell mine, but when someone comes to see it i make a point to show all of the flaws in the paint and were the oil is leaking, and were my buddies burned hole in the carpet from there smokes. Finally the guy leaves, I can't let my Z28 go, it was passed down from my father, and i'll be damn proud to let my oldest daughter use it in her grad cavlcade( she is only 9yrs old).
