I had a cheap Chinese 1/2" impact wrench. It didn't have the power to loosen my Chevy lugnuts. I gave it away and bought an Ingersol Rand Thundergun. The difference is amazing.
With air tools, cheap Chinese ones are usually a disappointment.

I really like my Kobalt impact gun.

The Honda Accord balancer bolt was is tight. I think around 200 ft pounds and it removed it with no problem....3 other guns cheap failed to remove it.

I have two IR titanium guns and blue point ratchet, die grinders and air hammer. I have a little IR air grinder but for heavy cutting and grinding I use electric.

Good impact, roger that! I can see how you'd want a better impact since it is a higher torque tool as opposed to grinders or ratchets.

My current fav is my 90deg die grinder. Useful to clean, de-rust, grind, cut... For body/metal work it's awesome.

Just liek hand tool, cheap ratchets suck. I have IR 1/2" impact and 3/8" ratchet. My other tools are more or less throw away cheapos. Home hobbiest, not a pro.
