    As a good practice I throw out / replace my fire extinguishers every year !!

    According to the Kidde Web site they have a shelf life of 10-12 yrs. Mine is around that age but the needle is in the green and has not moved. I am going to be replacing them this week end. I'll just keep the old ones in the garage as long as they are still charged.

    I just bought one to replace an older one, mine is not part of the recall. So ya, no need to do anything.
