Well I am back into the old car resto world. Last one was a 1965 Tbird Convert.
I bought AZ raised 1970 SS 350 Camaro. Other then SUN BAKED the car is rust fee with straight sheet metal and a rust free bottom side with 109k on the ticker. The motor IS not orig but is a 350.
So how rare is a 70 SS? 42 years down the line I'd think there are not many left at all.
Does the SS package have a better suspension under it then say a base model?
Heavy duty stuff under the motor? I have been reading all the info out there but it hard to sift through it and get straight facts.

Totally rust free. If one were to go the cheap route it is a sand sand down and paint job away from looking good. Only thing missing on the car is the radio knobs, that is IT.

The SS350 suspension is basically the same as the standard sport coupe. Like any Camaro, it could be ordered with F41 to improve the suspension.
The drivetrain is where the SS shines. It had a 4 bolt main high compression 350, a Muncie 4 speed if manual tranny, and a 12 bolt rear end.
That car is a nice find. Have fun with it.

NO way to see what the RPO codes were, aka, what suspension is under it. If I have a build sheet (on top of gas tank/under seats?) will that shed any more light on the cars options. I know the tag on the car does not say much past color, where it was made and the like.

Seller says he ccoded the motor out to be from a 1973 chevy. I though blue as seen on this motor meant it was a pontiac motor?

If it has a rear swaybar, it has F41. Standard suspension will not have the rear swaybar.
