Do you have any pictures??? The caprice has Iron heads didnt they? Did you swap them out for the F-body aluminum heads?

What kit are you referring to? What fuel pump did you use? Who did the wiring harness mods? As far as the iron heads, they flow better than the alum. ones. About 40 lbs. diff. Not that big of a deal.

The LT1 for the Impala/Caprice/Roadmaster, put out 260HP at the fly wheel and 335 lb.-ft. where the camaro put out 275hp and 325 lb.-ft and the corvette put out 300hp and 330 lb.-ft. Also the Impala/Caprice/Roadmaster ran true duel exauhst pipes but also had 4 O2 sensors, where the camaro ran the single setup, not sure about the vette. Plus side is with that setup you can legally run the duel exauhst on your car even in California.

I didn't think the 4 O2 sensors showed up until '96, with OBDII?

I shoulda picked up that '95 LT1 engine (complete) for $1200 when I had the chance. It only had 28k miles on it. I was (still am) thinking LS1, though, so I hesitated.

Hopefully will get a chance to pick your brain when I dig into mine later this year (I hope I finally get into it!). I also plan to use the stock Caprice wiring harness.... although I'm going with TH350 for tranny.

I am thinking of doing a LT1 swap and I was curious if I can hook the LT1 up to a 700R4 instead of a 4l60E? Also can I use a stock big block radiator for our cars rather than the radiator that accompanies the LT1?

From what I've read, you can use a regular radiator. You can go with a 700R4,the big trick will be getting the cussed TV cable adjusted so it works right.
