info for a parts washer

    I bought the 20 gallon Harbor Freight model 10 years ago, still working great. BTW it only holds 8 - 10 gallons of fluid, I bought 20 gallons of mineral spirits so there was enough for a change when it got dirty. With the lid closed there are no fumes in the shop. The new model looks exactly like the one I am using. On sale right now for $99, plus the new issue of Super Chevy has a 20% off coupon (and a photo of me on page 25 :)).

    Well got a HF washer for 82.27 just now so lets see how it does

    I use mineral spirits, some places call it naphtha. Works well and lasts a long time. Been using the same fluid for 5 years. About twice a year it is drained and then strained through cloth to remove the sediment. Remember it only holds about 10 gallons, don't buy 20.
