How to polish slots

    again a well oxidized pair of M/T sbc valve covers the polished using 600 grit wet/dry and then worked all the way up to 2500 grit wet/dry then polished using mothers billet aluminum polish followed by cornstarch powder

    Where'd you get those center caps at? I've been hunting and hunting, and haven't really been able to find a nice pair like that. And 2hrs per wheel? thats crazy! I'm fairly impatient when it comes to stuff like this ;)

    2 hours per wheel is nothing and i regularly clean them with mothers billet aluminum polish and cornstarch powder ever 3 months

    I used 000 steel wool on mine. My power ball shreaded it's self On my rims??

    Mine aern't real shinny,Just nice and clean. Not a fan of real shinny wheels.

    Best way to polish any metals is with the right ruge and a polish cutting wheel and some real polishing compound like ballbuster....

    You got to cut aluminum with a HI SPEED buffing machine (it polishes by moving the metal around) and some aluminum ruge witch is usually brown/red.

    When we do leading edges on aircraft they dont use and polish it is all done by sanding
