With 400 always being my goal ( unachieved ), how many of you have a 400+ horsepower motor in their ride? I'm not talking about dedicated race cars, I mean daily drivers or at least weekly drivers.

just finished my boy's 355 for his 78Z. 72LT-1 motor out of a vette, bored 30 with goodies, intake and headers. Running in the 410 to 425 range with 3:42 gears and a 24-2800 stall. Awsome!

Deffinately not as nice as^^^^^^^^but cost very little $

I know its ugly but this is hovering around the buddy who helps me with my car said it should have about 400.
Chevy 400 heads, 4 bolt 350 block, Edelbrock performer aluminum manifold..Holley 700cfm double pumper carb, roller tip rockers, cam specs .570/.580 lift and .312/.320 duration...or somewhere around that, the cam and many of the other parts where free.

Oh the heads and intake are gasket matched.

425hp ......... it's a 350 built to baldwin motion phase III Z/30 sbc specs , it's basically a 70 LT1 350/360hp with 11.1:1 comp built to motion performance specs using the GM #140 mechanical flat tappet cam listed in my signature
