Hood Flap works but doesn't open

    Agreed. I’ve only owned the car a few years and I’m slowly going thru it. The only thing I can think of is someone installed a different gas pedal rod but it sure looks like the rod in the pic you sent. Or the gas pedal-cable is out of adjustment. Nevertheless, I wil figure it eventually. Thank you for the help!

    Are you running a Q-Jet? maybe the cable bracket is bent.

    Yes, it’s the stock Q-jet. I will look and see. Thx

    The hood scoop switch is self adjusting to it's maximum travel point so if you push the switch all the way in with your hand testing it out, then you have set the switch to open in that position (all the way in). To reset the switch pull it back out towards the pedal and you should feel or hear it click. Then press the gas pedal to the floor and it should adjust to the new position, at full throttle.

    I've been thinking about wiring my hood scoop to a rpm activated switch, so I can have open at whatever rpm I want.
