I had some metal pieces parts laying around, so i thought they would make
    a nice masking station.

I started with Unistrut and 1/2 npt and 3/4 npt pipe floor flanges. I spaced them
apart to fit the tape and the paper. 1/2 pipe for the paper and 3/4 pipe for the tape.

I welded it to this old store display stand (I know--I'm just learning to weld)

On the 1/2 pipe you use 1" cpvc pipe couplings cut down to space it
out to line up with the tape. It fits over the raised portion of the pipe flange.

On the other end you use 3/4 pvc couplings and a 7/8" shaft collar

Found these to put in the tape rolls.

On the 3/4 pipe you use 1" cpvc couplings and 1-1/8" shaft collars.

I bent some 1/2" bar and added cut up old portaband saw blades to
help cut the paper. I ground down the screws on the back side of the bar.

I didn't like the round base (hard to move) so i welded up this

Bolted the upright to the new stand and painted up

Added a magnet with a allen wrench for the shaft collars.

Does it want to tip when your pulling the paper off?
I like it & may have to build one.

Kind of reminds me of a weight rack for a barbell set
