    My block,say L34 3970010 gm20 what kind of block is it cut I need a rear mIn seal I think

    We know it is a 350cu. but need the stamping on the block pad in front of the passanger side head to know more,i thank

    3970010 blocks use the 2 piece rear main seal.

    Wrong front. The pad is on the end of the engine near the radiator :)

    Your photo is of the casting date of the block...."L 3 4" = 12/03/1974 (since "010" block did not start production until 1969 and ended in 1980...or was it '79?)
