I know there are several 70 only parts on this car and dont want to many anything. The car was grey black vinyl top. 307 auto on the column car but its to bad to save. So I am stripping what I can and want to be sure I dont miss anything. Its to bad as its a numbers matching 307 car which isnt much, but lets be honest. that 307 in 70 had more HP than the z28s did in 80 and 81. LOL

SO if anyone would help me to insure I dont miss any parts I need to be pulling from this car Id be grateful.

    Thanks.

How does the trunk emblem look? Any pics? Also would like a heater hose holder that is on the right fender well.

No, the 307 did not make more power than the LM1.

I am only going by the specs posted on this site. The 307 with a 2 barrel makes more power than the 81 LM1 per the spec sheets. Speaking motor itself. Not the rest of the power train. More compression, higher torque. So what am I missing here if your claim the LM1 made more power in 81 than a 70 307?

    LG4/Z28 305 V-8 3.74 x 3.48 165 @ 4000 245 @ 2400 8.6:1 4V
    LM-1 350 V-8 4.00 x 3.48 175 @ 4000 275 @ 2400 8.2:1 4V
    Base 307 V-8 3.875 x 3.25 200 @ 4600 300 @ 2400 9.0:1 2V

The 70 307 HP rating is (Gross) at the flywheel and the 80 Z28 is (Net)to the rear wheels. In 1971 the Z28 had a advertised HP of 330 gross HP and in 72 the same exact engine was rated net at 255, both engine made the same gross HP.

All Chevy engines changed to Net HP in 1972.
