Anyone have any clue what front splitter/chin spoiler this is?
Looks like a custom fabbed piece to me.
I agree, I would say custom.
Well that's a shame, was hoping I could find one similar off the shelf.
Or fabricate your own.
I draw my my metal fabrication line at patching panels. Based both on tools and skill ha.
That's an air dam, not a splitter. It looks like someone did a nice job contouring it to the body etc. but it's more show than function by the looks of it. I'd be afraid to go over 90MPH or so with it. Doesn't appear to have any supports behind the ends (although maybe there are some) and the outward supports to the splash pan appear to be too straight up to keep pressure from flipping them back, among other things. There is a LOT of force once you start getting up to high speeds. If you can push that back with your foot there's gonna be problems at speed.
I'm currently working on an experimental quick release splitter/under tray/rear diffuser combination for 2nd gen F bodies. I'm building it for a TA but it could be used on any 70-81 F body with an appropriate air dam. Once I get the aero stuff all tested I'll make much lighter more finished looking versions. This version is for test purposes only. More info about it here https://www.linkedin.com/post/edit/...ully-suspended-multi-section-quick-john-paige
