I'm looking for a Haynes manual and there appear to be two versions. A red cover with a in color Camaro or a blue cover with a black and white cut away Camaro. Is there a difference between the two?

Don't know the answer but I've had the blue one since '83, it's well used and shows it.

The correct Haynes manual has always been blue. The older the edition the better. The 1980s version was much thicker probably by a 1/3. The newer one is very scaled down and has a lot of “take it to a qualified mechanic”. I’m guessing too many people where screwing stuff up.

The other one i have has a red camaro on it and it’s the same scaled down Haynes

So the 99 version is pretty watered down then? That seems to be mostly what I'm finding.

The 1983 printing still has all of the wiring diagrams and a special section for the 81 model with it's options and computer controls.
(It's the one Corky and I have been using forever. #554 372 pages)
