My build sheet don’t tell me the brand name tires that came on my 71Z but here is where it’s located on the build sheet

None of the build sheets specified tire brand. They specify size and type of tire only.

Goodyears were not called wide ovals, Firestone was. If they were, please post your document from the good ol days stating so.

The term wide oval came into use before Firestone put it on their tires. Wide oval started when 70 series tires became available. Firestone actually uses Wide O Oval, not wide oval.

I know the 70 series were wide ovals.

Did Firestone actually make a 15 inch tire for the Camaro in 1970?

That's the question. Did for sure in 71. They may have supplied some in 70, perhaps late in the year. GM didn't like to have only one source for anything as important as tires. Seems like other cars like the Boss Mustangs, Hemi Cudas and Challengers all had Goodyears in 70 so they may have been the only source through most of the year for F60's

And that's the rub. I didn't see any original 70 Z28 with Firestone tires from the factory. The 5 I saw were all April 70 and earlier. Maybe Norwood and Van Nuys used the Firestone tires on the Z28 after the first few months.
