Figured we should start a new FREE software thread for everyone to pitch in
their tried and true finds that are worthy of sharing with your compadres.

    Image Burn.
I have been using hacked copies of Nero and Roxio for 6 years now
and I actually like this better for it's simplicity. This has alot of options
to create or burn disc images.

    Daemon Tools

Virtual Drive for Mounting ISO's which are basically disc images like Image Burn can create from discs.
If you've ever used Alcohol 120 or the other mounting options, this is free and just as good.
Has a nice little Widget now for Vista and Win7.

I use an old free utility for cutting any section of the screen and saving it as a picture file. It is called PrintKey 2000.

I use a task manger add-on to see where my computer is going on the web. It is called Prio.

I use TrueCrypt to encrypt data on my drive.

    Tis the season for sharing.

For those of you who can't get a hacked copy of Microsoft Office and don't
feel like blowing the $200 - $400 or whatever it costs, you can use this free
Linux designed Office Suite that is DIRECTLY compatible with all version of Office

    Open Office

Just change all the file settings to save them as MS Office files by default after install. :)
MS Word = .DOC (docx if 2007+), MS Excel = .XLS, etc.
