My floor boards in the driver and passenger side get very hot because that's there the header and exhaust flanges are. I have the "peel/seal" on the outside, but the aluminized is facing away from the heat thus I don't see it reflecting heat out. Is there a material that I can put on the outside of the floor board to reflect the heat out? I see a lot of the new cars have this, but I can only find $$$$ DEI

I have had very good results with the Cool It Thermo Tec aluminized heat barrier. A roll of 24x36 inches is part number 13585, no sure on price, but works well

Ironic that the shiny side is up and they still call it heat and sound barrier. Is your peel and seal letting heat through? What brand did you use just curious cause I’m running the “cool it from thermo tec” and very curious myself.

Worse case, wrap the exhaust items under the floorpan in ThermoTec header wrap.

When you click on the link for the heat shield it states that this product is not for use under carpet. I thought that was the idea to add it to your floor pans. Rick
