Fender seals

    image.jpg Does anyone know if these fender to cowl seals are available anywhere, just dug mine out and there pretty wasted. Couldn't find them on Camaro Central

    Bill,

    I haven't seen them reproduced, but I haven't looked really hard....yet. Have you checked any of hte weatherstrip companies such as Softseal or Metro?

    Bill - might also try Rich Hoover in WI, (Hoov81)...he's parted a lot of 2nd Gens and that environment is pretty kind to soft parts.

    Thanks guys, George actually those seals you have from ebay are amazingly in perfect shape on my car, i need the ones that cap the top. l16 pilot i have hoovs # I'll call him and give him a try after I search through Xtens spare parts pile. Thanks Phil I forgot about your boxes of stuff .

    Maybe you could make one out of a garage door strip. The one that is on the bottom edge.

    Good thread. I just learned something new. I've seen the seals that go from top to bottom like in the ebay links, but never saw the ones that just cap the top. That square fastener is interesting, too.

    What is that seal made of? Almost looks like some kind of fiber material.

    Does anyone know if these are year specific? Factory or perhaps aftermarket like the A-arm dust shields with the staples? Are they in the assembly manuals? I'll need to check mine, but I only have the manuals for 71 and 73. 70 and 72 are on my Christmas list.
