So, We agree then.
Any thoughts as to what could be causing it to bind up.
I had a 77 Type LT with a 305 and it had a factory ratchet shifter. It worked awesome. Wish my 80 Base model had one. Checked our local yard and none of the Camaros have one.
sometimes they just need worked back & forth all the way while spraying lubrication oil down in there
Cool, I had no idea GM offered those in the '70s.
Anyway to soak just the moving moving metal parts in WD40? Maybe that would get it going.
I have one if someone needs/wants one
I am going to rush off to the storeage shed and check my new Z-28 for this.
Even though I get annoyed with fixing broken stuff on cars I love finding out new things.
I might take that shifter off your hands Speed if mine doesnt already have this.
Well I never........
I already have one in the car, had a play with it while Iw as out today.
Just wish I had more than 170 Hp
I've got 2 cars with the factory ratchet shifter, one is my 76 Camaro which i was surprised it had one. The other is a PHS documented 69 GTO it came with one from the factory. I've got a his/hers for the GTO but hesitant to swap it out on that car.
I h ave a friend down here that has a documented low miles 69 Hurst With the his/her shifter.
Its an immaculate example and is for sale. pity I cant afford it.
