In the next possible future my Camaro should get a new exhaust system.
I have in mind a " Pype " Cross system with one Muffler between rear axle
and tank... but ... It´s not easy to get some down pipes on our market.
As an alternative option, there exist the " Magnaflow " 16828. It´s less
    "complicated " but two mufflers.
    Any other idea anybody?

Several good threads on this site if you search ..............Pypes Or Magnaflow etc etc

I'm considering the Dynomax89021 which uses a Transverse muffler

Sold by JEG's for $260 USD

I have been through 4 sets of mufflers and now I have the pypes set up between axle and gas tank and wish I would have spent the money up front. I love this set up. Great sound and fits beautiful, great flow. Absolutely no drone inside the car.

thanks for your anwer. I have one more question.
Did you use for your exhaust system Headers or down pipes ?
    Which system is better ?

I have a pair of midlenth headman hedders and tips out the back. The ones the kit recommends.

    Well, I made my choice.
Looking around our part market, I relised that the options are very small; especially concerning
the costs. The price for an exhaust system made by " Pypes " for my 1980 Camaro will be
roundabout EUR 950,-- but ... without the hedders or the downpipes. The downpipes roundabot
EUR 180,-- , Hedders EUR 320,-- . No used on the market in the moment.
The costs for the other system are similar.
The other solution is the " Magnaflow 16828 ".
The costs are ok, EUR 509,26 and I need neither Hedders nor downpipes, as the Y-pipe in my car
    is in good order.
The only point is - the space between the mufflers and the road.
I " surfed " a little bit in the forum and found out that the member " sbca96 " attached this system
    on his car.
When he is still present on the forum, I will try to contact him.

Has anybody else practical experience with " Magnaflow 16828 " ?

P.S. : ..... you won´t believe but after an oldtimer-meeting today, I changed my mind again.
.........I spoke with some guys who are driving camaros too and it could be that this will
be a " built it yourselves system " with a diameter of 2.5 " and two mufflers.
Well ... the story will be continued.
Ooo .... by the way ... don´t worry, it´s not epidemic ... ;):smokin:

Well, one more question concerning the exhaust story.

What are the main differences between Cat Back System and the Hedders Back System,
especially concerning the power evolution of the engine ?
Are the differences really so big or are they minimal or even irrelevant for a ordinary driver ?
